I’m currently sailing as a trainee aboard the Tres Hombres, a 32-meter cargo vessel built in 1943. Along with 14 other crew members (7 of whom actually know what they’re doing), we’re carrying 40 tons of sustainable cargo from Amsterdam to Copenhagen using only wind power. The journey typically takes around 10 days, depending entirely on weather conditions. I’m sailing with Fair Transport, a company dedicated to emission-free ocean cargo transport since 2007. Since I won’t have internet access during the voyage, this GPS tracker is your only evidence that we haven’t sailed off the edge of the world.
